Legal Basis and Application Process

St. Lucia’s CIP program launched following the enactment of Act No. 14 – the Citizenship-by-Investment Act – in August 2015. The CIP Unit has overarching authority over all applications made through St. Lucia’s CIP program, conducting all due diligence, background and criteria checks.
Once the CIP Unit has approved an application, applicants are then requested to deposit funds for the selected investment. Once funds have been received by the CIP Unit, a Certificate of Citizenship is issued – applicants can expect to receive notice of approval of their application between 60 – 90 days on average.
